TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDERS

Esplanade and Battery Slipway, Sandown (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic and Pedestrians) that from approx. 0700 hours on Monday 2 March 2020 until 2100 hours on Wednesday 4 March 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle or pedestrian, to proceed along Esplanade and Battery Slipway, between its junctions with Pier Street and Esplanade Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety whilst a mobile crane is in situ to carry out works.

Esplanade, Sandown (Temporary Revocation of One-Way Restriction) that from approx. 0700 hours on Monday 2 March 2020 until 2100 hours on Wednesday 4 March 2020, or when the works have been completed, the one-way restriction will be revoked along Esplanade, between its junctions with Guadeloupe Steps and Esplanade Road. The revocation is required to allow access to premise and businesses whilst part of the Esplanade is closed for mobile crane works.

Esplanade Road, Sandown, (Temporary No Waiting at Any Time Parking Restriction) that from approx. 0700 hours on Monday 2 March 2020 until 2100 hours on Wednesday 4 March 2020, or when the works have been completed, a No Waiting at Any Time parking restriction will be introduced along Esplanade Road, on the east side from its junction with High Street to its junctions with Esplanade. The restriction is required to allow access to the Esplanade for all vehicles whilst a mobile crane is in situ to carry out works.

St Johns Road, Sandown, (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) that, for one day, between approx. 0900 and 1600 hours from Monday 2 March 2020 until Wednesday 4 March 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along St Johns Road, between its junctions with Station Avenue and Carter Street. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

Winchester Park Road, Sandown, (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) that, for one day, between approx. 0900 and 1600 hours from Monday 2 March 2020 until Wednesday 4 March 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Winchester Park Road, between its junctions with Broadway and Grove Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

West Lane, Brading, (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) that, for one day, between approx. 0900 and 1600 hours from Tuesday 3 March 2020 until Thursday 5 March 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along West Lane, between its junctions with Harding Shute and Doctors Lane. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during street furniture repairs.

Town Lane, Newport, (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) that, for one day, between approx. 0930 and 1530 hours from Friday 28 February 2020 until Tuesday 3 March 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Town Lane, between its junctions with Pyle Street and South Street. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

Belvedere Street, Ryde, (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) that, for one day, between approx. 0900 and 1600 hours from Friday 28 February 2020 until Tuesday 3 March 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Belvedere Street, between its junctions with Park Road and Wood Street. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0630 hours and 1800 hours on approximately 5 to 10 days, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner; that no vehicle or person may use, or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs. The closures are for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works between Friday 28th February 2020 and Friday 9th April 2020. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and advanced warning signs before the scheme commences It may be necessary to close this section of road on more than one occasion within this timeframe:

Yaverland Road and Culver Parade, Sandown, (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2020 – Culver Parade will be closed between its junctions with Meadow Way and Kennedy Way. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

Yaverland Road and Culver Parade, Sandown, (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 3 2020 – Yaverland Road and Culver Parade will be closed between its junctions with Kennedy Way and Marshcombe Shute. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: – The Isle of Wight Council (Various Street, Sandown, Isle of Wight) Motor Race Order No 1 2020 Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from approx. 0900 hours on Thursday 26 March 2020 until 0600 hours on Saturday 28 March 2020 and from approx. 2100 hours on Sunday 29 March 2020 until 1600 hours on Tuesday 31 March 2020, will temporarily close the following roads; a) Culver Parade, from its junctions with Crescent Road to its junctions with Yaverland Road; b) Yaverland Road, from its junctions with Culver Parade to its junctions with Meadow Way; c) Fort Street, from its junctions with Crescent Road to its junctions with Culver Parade and d) Kennedy Way, in its entirety. The alternative route will be Avenue Road, Morton Common, Morton Road, Marshcombe Shute and Yaverland Road. The closure is required for safety to build and break the set up for the Sandown Sprint 2020 Event

Partlands Avenue, Ryde, (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) that for one day between approx. 0900 and 1600 hours from Wednesday 11 March 2020 until Friday 13 March 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Partlands Avenue, between its junctions with Pellhurst Road and Upton Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

Garfield Road, Ryde, (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) that for one night between approx. 1930 and 2359 hours from Wednesday 11 March 2020 until Friday 13 March 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Garfield Road, for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

 

Various Streets, Ryde, (Temporary Revocation of One-Way Restriction) that for one night between approx. 1930 and 2359 hours from Wednesday 11 March 2020 until Friday 13 March 2020, the one-way restrictions will be revoked in the following road; a) Victoria Street, for its entire length; b) John Street, between its junctions with Victoria Street and West Street. Albert Road, Shanklin, (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) that for one day between approx. 0930 and 1530 hours from Monday 9 March 2020 until Wednesday 11 March 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Albert Road, for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

Castle Street, Ryde, (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) that for one day between approx. 0900 and 1600 hours from Wednesday 11 March 2020 until Friday 13 March 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Castle Street, between its junctions with George Street and Dover Street. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

Bellevue Road, Ryde, (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) that for one day between approx. 0900 and 1600 hours from Wednesday 11 March 2020 until Friday 13 March 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Bellevue Road, between its junctions with Nelson Street and Monkton Street. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

Wood Street, Ryde, (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) that for one day between approx. 0900 and 1600 hours from Wednesday 11 March 2020 until Friday 13 March 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Wood Street, between its junctions with Dover Street and Vernon Square. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

Barfield Road, Ryde, (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) that for one day between approx. 0900 and 1600 hours from Wednesday 11 March 2020 until Friday 13 March 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Barfield Road, between its junctions with Star Street and Vernon Square. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

Esplanade Road, Sandown, (Temporary Reversal of One-Way Restriction) Order No 1 2020 – The one-way restriction will be reversed on Esplanade Road, for its entire length, therefore will be in a south to north direction. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

Albert Road, Sandown, (Temporary Reversal of One-Way Restriction) Order No 1 2020 – The one-way restriction will be reversed on Albert Road, between its junctions with Station Avenue and High Street, therefore will be in a south to north direction. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

Victoria Road, Sandown, (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2020 – Victoria road will be closed between its junctions with High Street and Albert Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

Avenue Road, Sandown, (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2020 – Avenue Road will be closed between its junctions with High Street and Crescent Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

Notice is hereby given that the following Orders have been made under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: –

Osborne Steps, Shanklin, (Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians) that from approx. 0001 hours on Friday 28 February 2020 until 2359 on Friday 28 August, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any pedestrian, to proceed along Osborne Steps, for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety as a result of a landslip.
