Urgent closure – crossroad junction Morton Road/New Road/Marshcombe Shute/Yarbridge

From 6am on Tuesday 23 July, SGN will be closing the four-way crossroad junction at Morton Road/New Road/Marshcombe Shute and Yarbridge to carry out urgent repairs to a section of the low-pressure gas main.  Due to the location of the leak in the centre of the junction, we have no safe option than close the road/crossroad junction while repairs are carried out.  This leak is on a different gas pipe to the medium pressure we previously replaced.
Bus route affected – please contact your bus provider for the latest update on changes to bus routes, timetables, and alternative routes.
Its too early to say how long the repairs will take to complete, we’ll be doing all we can to complete the repairs as quickly and as safely as possible.
We’re sorry for the disruption this closure will cause and thank you for your patience and understanding.
